I know this is a rather vague complaint, but is there is some serious problem or issue that I might be overlooking? Could my computer some how be not registering / recognizing some important component or something? Any suggestions of things to check or look into would be appreciated. and was able to install an old ATI driver on Windows 10 and it works fine for me. Is it vista? There has to be some sort of serious problem going on here. I have the same Dell vostro 1000 with the ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 card. I do not understand why my computer is functioning like it is 10 years old when it is only 2. I have deleted many files, I have alot of free space available. I have done all of the suggestions like disk defrag, etc. Almost every program on my computer freezes all the time and I do not understand why. Windows 10 uses a generic video driver, which does work, but when using a 64 bit driver meant for the video card back in the days of Vista, the video becomes a lot crisper, and the driver seems to work just as well as the generic video driver supplied by. Furthermore, it is noted on the website that this driver/updates have been moved to some sort of archive status Furthermore, my computer is totaly up to date as far as any vista updates, etc. Use the Vista 64 bit driver for the ATI Radeon xPress 1150 video card on Windows 10. Device: ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 Please note: I have downloaded the most updated version available on the ATI website and this has not solved the problem.

filename: atikmdag.sys publisher: ATI Technologies Inc. The error message says the ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver is causing windows to resume slowly. I have been having this problem for months. I have read other posts about this problem from 2006-2008 but none offer a definitive resolution.
